Winning workplaces launched in York

This week we launched our first ever 'Winning Workplaces' which is an initiative to bring workplaces together to improve mental and physical health. We had York's Local radio station YO1 down to take part aswell broadcasting the show from our venue at Sanburn Hall. The teams took part in various physical and mental challenges all finished off with a Quiz and food. At Speedkix we pride ourselves on our delivery and using our years of experience of working with groups from all backgrounds we put on some great inclusive activites. The archery was a real hit and the improvement made by all participants was amazing which made for a really exciting competition which contributed to the overall team standings.

This week also saw us take our equipment into the workplace. We visited a large agricultural manufacturers on the outskirts of York. It was our second visit to SUMO UK. On the previous teambuilding sessions their employees enjoyed NERF and the Speedkix Challenge.

This time we took some real archery and a 'pub' quiz. We split the group into teams to create a real buzz and harness their competitive spirit. Sumo UK are really forward thinking companies and value their employees, they even cleared a space in the paintshop where we could let people have a go a combat archery. All in all it was a great day and we loved delivering it as much as the participants enjoyed taking part. We are really pleased now to have mobile archery where we can set up safety netting to catch arrows and our large mobile targets.

This week's events show the versatility of our staff to deliver great events whatever the number of participants and adapt to our location to run fun, safe events that improve well being and mental health and also reward staff.
